Makes: 6000 calories
Ingredients:
4lbs of ground chicken, cooked pan-browned crumbles
96 grams of canola oil
6 grams of Nordic Naturals Omega-3 Pet Liquid
318 grams of uncooked quinoa
420 grams of raw pears, diced
204 grams of raw carrots, diced
264 grams of canned snap green beans, drained
25 grams of Morton Iodized Salt
84 grams of Balance IT® Canine+ supplement
Tools:
Food scale
Large pot
Large skillet
Cutting board and knife
Instructions:
Begin by preparing the quinoa. Rinse it under cold water until the water runs clear. Transfer it to a pot, add twice its volume of water, and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for about 15 minutes or until the quinoa is tender and the water is absorbed. Remove from heat and let it cool.
Meanwhile, in a large skillet, heat the canola oil over medium-high heat. Add the ground chicken and cook until browned and thoroughly cooked.
Incorporate the diced carrots and drained snap green beans into the skillet. Stir occasionally and cook until the vegetables are tender.
Sprinkle the mixture with Morton Iodized Salt.
Once off the heat, blend in the diced pears, ensuring they mix well with the chicken and veggies.
After the quinoa and the chicken-vegetable mixture have cooled, combine them in a large mixing bowl.
Add the Nordic Naturals Omega-3 Pet Liquid and Balance IT® Canine+ supplement. Mix thoroughly to ensure even distribution.
Portion out the food based on your dog's daily caloric requirements. Store the portions in airtight containers, either in the refrigerator or freezer.
Present the day's portion to your dog, and take joy in watching them savor their hearty meal!
Tips and Notes:
Remember to wait until the food has cooled down adequately before adding the Omega-3 and Balance IT® Canine+ supplement. This helps maintain the supplement's nutritional value.
